  • Now:

I am currently a student at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, sitting at a 3.2 GPA. I am a twenty-one-year-old senior pursuing a bachelor of innovation with an emphasis in Finance and a cross-discipline in creative communication. I would like to say this is the year I locked down on organization and time management. I have a two-year-old German Shepherd, I’m a full-time student (who’s graduating on time), I hold two executive positions in my fraternity, consistently work out and participate in intramural sports, learn music on multiple different instruments, and work 4 jobs: I am a server, the school mascot, run a gutter and window cleaning company, and have a finance internship. I have applied to graduate school for an MBA at UCCS.

    Past:

My third year of college, I took on some executive positions in the fraternity and started serving tables.

In my fraternity, every November we have elections. I decided to run for Historian and IFC VP of Finance. I ended up getting both positions. Historian involves lots of big events to host as well as social media management. I oversee our Instagram account, take photos at every event, planning our formal, parents weekend, alumni weekend, sorority socials, and senior nights. As the VP of Finance for IFC, I oversee all fraternity budgets to makes sure purchases align with the schools’ values. I am also in charge of collecting IFC dues from each fraternity to coordinate events for all Greek life. The IFC board had fallen apart over COVID, and when I took this position, I expected some sort of layout but there wasn’t. I developed budgeting tools on excel to give oversight of the budget and guidance to the next VP of Finance, as well as charge statements to send to fraternities to collect dues.

I started working as a server at a restaurant titled Springs Orleans, but unfortunately it closed for renovations while I worked there. It was a good restaurant that taught me a lot about hospitality, balancing stress, and working in a fast-paced environment.

My second year of college, I started bussing tables, took on committee chairman roles in my fraternity, and tried to start the dodgeball club on my campus.

For the record the club dodgeball team was starting to take off. We were looking at eleven guys on our team and the possibility of out of state travel. Unfortunately, I tore my MCL snowboard, and as the captain and starter of the team they kind of fell apart without me.

The chairman roles I took on were for the social committee, the inter-fraternal council (IFC), and the recruitment committee. As the head of these committees, I oversaw connecting with sororities on campus, assisting with event set up, and trying to get potential new members to join my fraternity.

I started bussing tables at this the Garden of the Gods Café with the intention to work my way up to a serving position.

My first year of college, I moved from Milwaukee to Colorado Springs as soon as I turned 18. Moving to be alone gave me a lot of time and flexibility. I joined as a full-time student and decided to rush a fraternity, as well as join the residential hall association as a building representative.

The fraternity I joined is Pi Kappa Phi and is known as a fraternity of gentlemen. I also worked as a door dasher during this time so I could work around my abrupt schedule and still afford to take care of myself. After my first year of college, I had put on some weight and started working out, as well as getting a job as a starter at a golf course over the summer.

Innovation

My lifelong corporate goal is to create my own, self sustaining business that benefits the economy and myself. Take a second to look at my Innovation Statement, Grant application written on behalf of a nonprofit organization supporting Colorado Rivers, and Patent Application for an invention I like to call the swamp-ass cushion. These were all created throughout my college career.
